Went to honey cars on 3/20 and my experience couldn’t have been described as anything less than perfect! I worked with Daniel and he was phenomenal! Very on top of things and professional. HoneyCar Roanoke sold us a used car that's engine blew on the interstate, having to be towed, the same day we bought it. After nearly a month from buying the car, they agreed to reimburse us the cost of the car less the processing fee. We were sent a check that was missing a signature. I had to use their bank to get it cashed, which charged a fee. The dealership knew this car was for a 15 year old, as we let them be present in the experience. We were assured we were getting a reliable car, that had been looked at by their mechanic. In an email, the owner said, "It's generally recommended to have a mechanic inspect any used vehicle, especially one sold "AS-IS" for under $2,000, as it's likely to have existing issues." This lets me know they knew this car was not safe. The fact they knowingly sold this car says a lot about their character. I did sign an "as-is, " but their website says a 3-day, 300 mile return policy, with no stipulations. I just wanted to share my experience. This dealership lacks professionalism, honesty, and clear communication.

They totally cheated us. As we thought we got a fantastic deal, we came across a an issue, that was said to be covered. It's apparently not covered now.... Quintin is a con artist lier. I don't know who did the finance part of it, but they are also a con artist. We left thinking we got the deal of a lifetime and 2 months later.... they back up NOTHING. If you buy a car from hear, you better read the fine print thrice. I sold cars at one point and couldn't stand the sleazebag attempts to sell a car... I only lasted a month. I had a really bad experience, and they still haven't contacted us back. 1. We bought a Ford Escape which we were promised had been super checked and was in good condition. We bought it on Saturday and Monday it failed (the engine light turned on) and they said they would take care of it, that it was something minor. 2. We got a loaner, which began smoking while driving it. We got another loaner. 3. We went talk to them for selling us a car that was not good after we had explicitly asked for a car that would not break. We said we wanted to see a different car, that we didn't want that one bc it was not reliable anymore. They insisted that they would fix it and that they would repair it regardless we wanted to get it back or not, that it was a good car, but that we could look at other ones. We decided to look at other ones bc they said they would maintain the price if we saw something that wouldn't exceed certain price (which we did not) 4. We looked at another car and tested it, it was supposedly ready to take. The oil alert and another one that I can't remember turned on and we asked if we could keep the loaner for some days so they could get it ready, they said no, that we had to take it and make an appointment for the oil.change (which I don't understand if it was true that it had been checken and ready to go). 5. They raised the price of my monthly pay. 6. We said then we wanted to stay with the original car (the Ford) but that we wanted fully checked and have another mechanic and my husband present when they did it. 7. We were told that the Ford was broken and needed a new engine (suspiscious, if supposedly it was in good condition and the issue was something minor). 8.Finally after insisting we got to keep the loaner and have them get the other car we had to purchase ready (because they sold us a broken one and didn't take responsibility for it, and the one we had to purchase was supposedly perfect to go and it turned out it wasn't). In sum, lack of transparency, compensation offered was poor (just 1 "extra" year of warranty) and they didn't take any responsibility, they just kept saying "I can't touch my prices, but it's only 10 more dollars a month", which is super easy to say when it is not your own money. So basically, they are in a position where they have NOTHING to lose, and they know it. They haven't even gotten back to us for the newer car we had to purchase, which makes me think it was broken too. I feel absolutely scammed and I hope they contact me about the newer car some day, and that this one does work properly. If it is the case, I will take this bad review down, but it is hard to believe.. we'll see

Car selling experience. The bait and switch. Lies and very deceitful. Put my vehicle on Facebook to sell. Was contacted several times by buyers for honey car. Last one was Jennifer . I explained to her that honey already made a offer and wasn't close on price. Oh but wait she said I can get you 11k for your jeep I'm like ok. So we talked exchanged info and at that time she said I needed tires and detailed so they could only do 10250 max. So I decided to drop the conversation due to the low ball price. I went ahead and set up myself to get tires. So again a week Later was contacted by Jennifer asking if I had thought about the price . I said we were not going to be able to do a deal so I bought tires for the vehicle because I was keeping it. So she again said let me check with my general manager and get back to you. I told her all the issues and what needed to be done. The tires were the big concern. So she came back with a 11k offer. I said ok and this was a Wednesday. I was on the road working told her I could be there Saturday but she said she wasn't there on Saturday but would be there on Monday. No big issue. So I took my time to go in have the vehicle looked at and waited and waited. Then Jennifer came over and said we'll I should have looked things over. I said we'll we had a agreement of 11k not a penny less due to tires be put on that were new. She said we'll it's a new month we can only do 10k. What a slap in the face. Lied didn't honor her agreement. Called general manager Lee and his excuse was we only do quotes for 24 hrs . I said no one explained that to me and no way that vehicle lost 1k in value over a 4 day period or 5. He lied to try to cover buyers screw up. If they are going to lie about buying a car you can bet they will lie about selling you a car. Honor and integrity go a long ways. Honey car has neither. The bait and switch. They want buy at trade price and remember they contacted me not the other way around. They have more excuses than a 2 yr old that got caught with their hand in cookie jar. Very dishonest. So if your ever contacted by honey car just block and move on. You've been warned. If people stop selling cars to dealerships for less than the value then this kind of stuff stops. You should never let your vehicle go for less than it's worth. Dealers want ro make money but let them make money like us earn it. People are giving cars away at trade value. Trade value is a value made up by dealerships so it's always in their favor. I'm willing to give a little but letting them makea 3 to 4 k profit while you lose is insane. Word of advise to all those looking to sell or trade. They only win when you give in. Why should they make that profit instead of you making it. Think about it. Beware of honey car good scammers.

I had been looking for a car for quite some time using AutoTempest, scouring: Craigslist, Facebook, Cars.com, Autotrader, CarGurus—all of them. I finally found one that caught my eye at HoneyCar Winchester. The issue was: I live three states away and had previously only bought cars from private—local—sellers. Despite my initial hesitation, I decided to give them a call, and I’m glad I did. I first spoke to Dullah, the general manager, voicing my general interest, but also my logistical concerns of being out of state. He reassured me that they sold to people out of state all the time, and that he understood the associated apprehension I may have. He offered to take additional photos and videos (!), and personally inspect the car to reassure me. I became more convinced that my search was coming to a close. Upon my review of the photos and videos, I then had the pleasure of working with Shea. One of my main concerns with the model I was interested in was that many came from the factory with a misaligned rear axle. After voicing this concern to Shea, he worked with a local alignment shop to check the car for me, sending me the alignment results to confirm that the axle was in spec—truly above and beyond! Shea was absolutely wonderful to work with: super kind, genuine, and devoted to customer experience and service. Along the way, I talked with a number of people; everyone was kind and professional. I truly felt like the guys at HoneyCar were on my team—not simply trying to make a sale. I ultimately ended up doing something I never thought I would: buying from a dealer, out of state, without first seeing the car in person. I am so happy I did! I was working with Gabby to purchase a Ram 3500 they had for sale. They called me and told me it was available and so I asked to put down a deposit to secure the truck and they told me it was first come first serve. So I filled out an application and started the loan process for the truck so I secure it that way. Which they ran my credit and I had a vehicle to trade in. They did not want to continue my loan process till they saw my vehicle to trade in. I asked them to continue the loan process without a trade in and they said they would do that. I called multiple times to see if they would continue the loan without a trade in and they couldn’t give me an answer which they said they would and they never did. I called them to tell them I was on the way, 15 min before I arrived to the dealer (which is a 45 min drive) with my trade in, they called me to tell me they had someone else putting an application in and that the truck might be sold before I got there, after they ran my credit. When I arrived shortly after the truck was already sold 10 min prior right from underneath me. They only care about getting a paycheck. Waste of time.

I can only speak to their car purchasing department. I would personally recommend that one does not accept a message from them if you posted your vehicle on FB Marketplace. Based ontexperience they will tell.you whatever you want to hear in order to get you to come in and then low ball you. I can only speak to their car purchasing department. I would personally recommend that one does not accept a message from them if you posted your vehicle on FB Marketplace. Based ontexperience they will tell.you whatever you want to hear in order to get you to come in and then low ball you. They told me they could offer their offere are often at or sometimes HIGHER than KBB private party sale numbers (I have the message thread to prove this). Of course they said these numbers are pending on site inspection of the vehicle. I get there and all the comps they show me are trade-in values and the KBB trade-in value. I asked what about the private party sale numbers. That's when the double talk began. They said their offer was based on "excellent condition" to get at their offer of $2500 which exceeded KBB by about $100. However, they was shady because weren't supposed to be looking trade in values from the getgo. My car was not in excellent condition anyway. I was looking at very good condition for private party sales. The reps keps dodging my attempts to focus on private party sale values. In fact the lead rep of the two was quite rude by laughing and saying"that's what you wish " when asking me to guess at what number they arose at. What childish and unprofessional game is that to be played. I'm sure this person represents people and company above her so that was quite a poor representation. Based on my experience I would NOT recommend dealing with this place unless you want an offer closer to a trade in value, which is fine. My problem was the clearly misleading language used to get me to come in and unprofessional in person. I sold another car through CARMAX and it was a night and day experience. No games. Nothing misleading. They should never have said their numbers are closer or sometimes exceed private party sale prices then to only reference trade in values in person. I find this quite appalling. As I see their positive reviews are very one sided on Google, I'll be finding other outlets to post this review on. I would have posted FB Messenger correspondence, but wasnt able to post any pictures. I should be able post it on Facebook.

Took my vehicle to sell to them, cash offer. KBB recomended them. They treated me fairly, offered me KBB's suggested price, which I accepted. Cut me a check same day. Total time from walking in to leaving was 1.5 hours. Even offered me a free Uber ride home, since I sold my car, but I had a ride. Nice people, dealt with Lorraine and she was very professional and helpful
